This sketch was a pretty quick one – less than 2 hours. It was created using 2B pencils, blending and burnishing pencils and paper mill sketch and wash paper. Although far from perfect, I do like his cheeky attitude.

I really love this angel. She can be found in the South Rockhampton Cemetery. I have previously painted her, and this time I used a 2B pencil to create a sketch. This is on Bristol board and is slightly smaller than A3. Blending and burnishing pencils, as well as paper stumps for blending were used extensively in this. This was about 6 hours work.

This was a fun personal choice art work that needed watercolour, pencil and ink to get the job done. The original is A3 size and was completed on mixed media paper. Lots of Daniel Smith Neutral Grey was used in this. The paper was cream so it added to the tone of the image. I think this one took about 4 hours to complete.

A 2B pencil sketch based on an image on Unsplash. This pencil on mixed media paper was pretty quick to complete (probably about 80 minutes). I am sure there are some issues with the positioning of the fingers, but pretty happy with the end result.
