A few more posters for the collection.

Here are some posters I have created using the amazing Canva. I love it and use it all the time. These posters were created by googling STEM quotes and going from there. I use these when I don’t have much student work around – at the beginning of units etc. Feel free to borrow as required.

This is a portrait of Mum. I lost her last year and wanted to create a portrait using my favourite photo of her. This is A3 size on watercolour paper, using Gansai Tambi and Daniel Smith Paints. So much Prussian Blue was used in the making of this art!

Why is it that I second guess my watercolours so much and then end up making line and wash using microns. I mean it was probably fine, but I decided to go for the microns. I don’t hate the result, but I do this all the time! Anyway – this is based on an image I found on Unsplash – fungi, leaf litter and pine cones on fabriano paper.

This was a fun personal choice art work that needed watercolour, pencil and ink to get the job done. The original is A3 size and was completed on mixed media paper. Lots of Daniel Smith Neutral Grey was used in this. The paper was cream so it added to the tone of the image. I think this one took about 4 hours to complete.

A 2B pencil sketch based on an image on Unsplash. This pencil on mixed media paper was pretty quick to complete (probably about 80 minutes). I am sure there are some issues with the positioning of the fingers, but pretty happy with the end result.
Here is a little watercolour, coloured pencil and gouache item that I completed for a friend. I am finding coloured pencil a fun medium, especially when using burishing and blending pencils as well. The original is A3 size, and took about 10 hours to complete.

This site is undergoing a complete revamp for a new year. The year I am taking on a new role as a STEM teacher/coach for students aged 8 – 13. I am excited to share this new year of learning here!
Flippity: I have loved flippity for a while, but this little gem seems to be getting better and better! I have recently found the ‘wordle’ creator and here is a game for you!
